The New Saratoga County Animal Shelter Annex

The Pet Store for Homeless Animals

The Shelter has been given a great opportunity by Don Greene of the Clifton Park Center Mall. He has allowed the Shelter to have a store front which will allow us to have an off-site adoption area. I, my staff and all the volunteers would like to extend our sincere thanks to Don Greene!

This store front is staffed entirely by volunteers. Every day there will be cats and kitten (when available) up for adoption. On weekends it is our hope to have one dog there that will be available to adopt. If you are interested in volunteering for this store front, please give Jeanette a call at 248-0355. The hours that volunteers will be “manning” this store front are as follows:

Monday thru Friday from 6pm until 8:00 pm
Saturday from 11am until 5:00 pm
Sunday from 12pm until 4pm

Check out the events for our Grand Opening!

Looking For:

Homes Needed For Barn Cats

A feral cat  will keep your barn rodent free for the price of daily cat food and you'll be helping us to find homes for our feral felines.

We have several beautiful, healthy, neutered and vaccinated feral cats that are looking for outdoor homes with a barn, shed or other shelter.

If you would like to adopt a barn cat( or several) e-mail us at AnimalShelter@saratogacountyny.gov or give us a call at 885-4113.

Wildlife Alert!!!!!!

Please respect the wild animals and enjoy them from a distance.

We have been receiving a number of calls concerning wildlife. Especially orphaned or what you may think are orphaned animals. The best thing anyone can do is leave them alone. Remember they may be carrying rabies.

If you find or have any questions concerning wildlife, call the folks at North Country Wild Care.  Their number is 964-6740 or visit their website at www.northcountrywildcare.org.
