The Saratoga One Stop Center has a variety of workforce services available for jobseeker and business customers.

Jobseekers services include personal assistance from professional staff to provide career guidance, resume assistance, job search workshops, job referrals and beginner computer training.  A Resource Room is available for customer use and provides cost-free access to phone, fax, copier and internet connected computers.

Business services include recruitment assistance, interview space, labor market information, grant opportunity information, job postings and workforce reduction assistance.

The Department also administers the Community Work Order Program which works with local courts to place eligible offenders in supervised community service work as an alternative to incarceration.

STEM Summer Camp

July 22-26, 2013

FOR: Students ages 14-18 interested in potential career paths in STEM fields.

DATES: 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., July 22-26, 2013

No Cost: Students must meet income guidelines.

Requirements: • Documentation of age (MUST be 14-18 years of age) • upon selection students will be asked to provide proof of family income, US citizenship, and a birth certificate. Applications must include a Math, Science or Technology teacher nomination.

Enrollment: Enrollment is limited to 20 students in the three County area.

STEM Camp for 2013 providing opportunities for students to explore career and occupation possibilities in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Topics will include (but are not limited to): •Manufacturing Technology •Civil Engineering •Engineering Technology •Electrical Engineering •Web Design & Multimedia •Mechanical Engineering •CAD/CAM Manufacturing
