The County Attorney is the legal advisor to the Board of Supervisors and to all county officials in all civil legal matters. The County Attorney drafts all county legislation (local laws and regulations). The County Attorney oversees all county contracts. The County Attorney is counsel to the Department of Social Services, and represents the Department in Family Court matters. The County Attorney prosecutes juvenile delinquents in Family Court. The County Attorney is the Tax Enforcing Officer and oversees the collection of real property taxes.
