NaloxBox Program

What is a NaloxBox?
Inspired by the life-saving concept of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), the NaloxBox serves as a public emergency intervention tool designed to house multiple, free, prepackaged doses of nasal naloxone spray to improve the capacity of bystanders in order to save the lives of those experiencing an opioid overdose.

What is inside the box?
Each NaloxBox contains several doses of nasal naloxone (Narcan) spray, written instructions on how to administer naloxone, information on New York State’s 911 Good Samaritan Law, one time use rescue breathing face shields and Saratoga County Department of Health’s contact information.

AEM is a voluntary, incentive-based program available to all farmers through their local Soil and Water Conservation District. AEM supports common-sense, cost-effective, and science-based decisions to meet farm goals while protecting and conserving New York‘s natural resources. By participating in AEM, farmers can document their environmental stewardship and further advance their positive contributions to their communities, our food and bio-systems, the economy, and the environment.

Adoption and Foster Care

The purpose of Foster Care is to provide temporary, safe living arrangements for children that have experienced (or are at significant risk of experiencing) abuse or neglect. Children who enter Foster Care are removed from their home by Child Protective Services due to parent or caregiver’s inability to protect their children. Geographic Information System

The Planning Department assists Saratoga County’s departments and municipalities with various mapping and archiving needs.  Through this endeavor the planning department has assisted with the county’s E-911 system, election district and polling sites, environmental site planning, farmland and open space planning, snowmobile trail mapping, unique land-use planning, distribution of GIS data for educational purposes, and miscellaneous mapping and analysis of geographic relevance. 

The Planning Department also provides an interactive parcel map for the public.
