The Saratoga County Animal Abuser Registry was created in 2025 by an act of the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors. Anyone age 18 or older convicted of animal cruelty residing in Saratoga County is required to register with the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office.

The Animal Abuser Registry is now available.

The Saratoga County Animal Crimes Task Force was formed as part of a comprehensive effort to prevent and address cases of animal abuse in Saratoga County. The Task Force is comprised of Saratoga County personnel representing several departments and will increase efforts to share information and implement initiatives to proactively strengthen our ability to protect our animals.

The Task Force will meet on a regular basis to discuss current practices, new ideas and trends in our County. This new web page on the Saratoga County Government website has been established to offer options to report animal abuse and make reference materials easily accessible. Redoubling our efforts internally and making more resources available publicly will help everyone join the fight to prevent and respond to animal abuse.
