In 1807‚ Robert Fulton proved that advancements in technology could make new ways of travel possible when his steamship Clermont traveled from New York City to Albany in 32 hours.
In 2009‚ Saratoga County‚ is commemorating this history‚ its affect on the land and native peoples of our County‚ and the history and progress seen since by participating in the State of New York’s 2009 Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial.
