2022 Important Deadlines:

Primary Election

  • Registering to vote for the first time: June 3

  • Submit an address change: June 8

  • Change your political party: February 21

  • Receive an absentee ballot application by mail: June 13

  • Submit an absentee ballot application in-person: June 27

  • Return your voted absentee ballot by mail: Postmarked by June 28; BOE must receive your ballot by July 5

  • Return your voted absentee ballot in-person: June 28 by close of polls at 9pm

General Election

  • Registering to vote for the first time: October 14

  • Submit an address change: October 19

  • Submit an absentee ballot application by mail, online portal, email or fax: Applications must be received  by Oct. 24, regardless of postmark

  • Submit an absentee ballot application in-person: November 7

  • Return your voted absentee ballot by mail: Postmarked by November 8; BOE must receive your ballot by November 15

  • Return your voted absentee ballot in-person: November 8 by close of polls at 9pm
