Purpose & Effect
The purpose of these rules is to provide an orderly and uniform system for the administration of Civil Service in the County of Saratoga on a basis of merit and fitness as provided in the Civil Service Law of the State of New York. These rules have the force and effect of law and apply to all positions in the classified service of the County as well as the towns, villages, school districts and special districts therein. These rules may be amended by the Director of Human Resources after public hearing and subject to the approval of the State Civil Service Commission.
