2023 3rd Quarter Update from County Administrator Steve Bulger:
Summer in Saratoga County is here again, and with it are all the great things that our residents and visitors enjoy immensely! From the recreational activities on the Great Sacandaga and Saratoga Lakes, to the many hiking and biking trails across the County, along with the fabulous offerings at the Race Track, SPAC, and downtown Saratoga Springs, there is no doubt why Saratoga is known as the Summer Place to Be for people of all ages.
The County Board of Supervisors is particularly focused on improving and expanding recreational options for our residents. Significant new investments in both the Zim Smith and Kalibus – Perry Trails, and the soon to open Graphite Range Community Forest, continues to emphasize the commitment of our leadership to protect our natural resources while creating sustainable recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike. It is important we preserve our most beautiful and precious natural areas for people to enjoy moving forward and we are proud to partner with our friends at Saratoga Plan to help deliver these investments across our County.
County leadership is striving hard to remain Healthiest County out of all 62 counties in New York State as ranked by US News & World Report, which takes into account many metrics including education, housing, economic activity, and equity. This as Saratoga County continues to enjoy both the lowest Sales Tax and Property Tax Rates in the entire State, which we believe are the two key drivers of our growth and success.
Here at County Government, we are focused on constantly improving the delivery and efficiency of services that our residents expect and deserve. Please reach out to any of our departments if we may be of assistance. Thank you for all you do to help Saratoga County attain the great quality of life we enjoy!
