Saratoga County Department of Social Services (DSS) is committed to building a strong workforce in our community through various activities. The DSS Employment Unit is responsible for the operation of the Welfare to Work program. This unit works with TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) and Safety Net families and individuals to help them enter the workforce, with the goal of achieving self-sufficiency.

The Employment Unit assists individuals with finding employment and provides assistance with obtaining support services which may be necessary to participate in employment or job-readiness activities.
