The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) issues monthly electronic benefits that can be used to purchase food at authorized retail food stores. SNAP assists low-income working people, senior citizens, the disabled and others feed their families.

As of 10/1/25, Saratoga County started implementing ABAWD (Able Bodied Adults Without Dependents) work rules. To receive or continue to receive SNAP benefits, an individual may have to follow these rules. The SNAP Work Requirements provide specific information.
