Scheduling a Road Test:
Prior to scheduling a road test, it is mandatory that you have a Pre-licensing Course Certificate (issued within past year) or a Student Certificate of Completion (issued within past two years). In addition to having one of the above documents, it is required that you have had a valid NYS Learner Permit for a minimum of 6 months preceding your scheduled road test.

Upon scheduling your road test please have the following ready:

• 9-digit ID number located on the front of your NYS Learner Permit
• The number issued on your Pre-licensing Course Certificate or Student Certificate of Completion form
• Your 5-digit zip code,

  

Open 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday – Friday
Extended hours every Wednesday 8 a.m. to 6 pm.
DMV offices are closed on County designated holidays

For the following services, arrive no later than:
4 p.m. (5 p.m. Wednesdays)
• Changing from out-of-state licenses (reciprocities)
• Testing for all permits

3:30 p.m.
• Enforcement (suspensions, revocations, and conditional licenses)

The County Clerk is the official registrar of land-related legal documents, such as deeds, mortgages, satisfactions of mortgages, judgments and liens. A search of our land records dating back to 1791 can be done in our office or online. To apply for access to our online records, go to Saratoga County, NY – SearchIQS and click on See Subscription Plans/Create an Account. Fill out the required fields and click Sign Up.

Deeds
All deeds in Saratoga County are recorded in the Saratoga County Clerk’s Office. Deed filings must also include a completed TP-584 and RP-5217

Does the County Clerk’s Office notarize documents?
Yes. We have a number of dedicated staff members that can notarize your documents at no cost during regular business hours. Proper proof of identification is required. Notary renewals for individuals are also processed in our office and may be done by mail or in person.
